Myles Shoda

Since 1986, Myles has served athletes with high profile free agency negotiations, arbitration, non-arbitration eligible contracts, winter ball contracts, and amateur draft advisement. He has also developed endorsement and marketing opportunities for clients as well as guiding them to professional services and sports medicine care that have positively affected their careers.

His background has given him a perspective to understand the path that each client may experience during their career. Myles’ experience includes baseball playing careers at Cuyahoga Community College West and Bowling Green State University. He gained coaching experience at Cuyahoga Community College West, with the Ohio Collegiate All Stars, Ohio Connie Mack Baseball and within the prestigious East Cobb Baseball program in Marietta, Georgia. Myles holds a Masters degree in Sports Administration from Kent State University, studied at the graduate level in exercise physiology at Cleveland State University, served two seasons as a member of the Columbus Clippers front office staff, the New York Yankees AAA affiliate, and performed duties as a Yankees associate scout.

He has been in and around the amateur and professional baseball arena his whole life, providing a complete understanding of the path and life of a baseball player.

Jon Armitage

Jonathan provides Diamond Sports Management with a successful and wide ranging baseball experience. His amateur career was compiled in the SEC at the University of Georgia where he lettered as a starting shortstop and centerfielder from 2001-2003. Jonathan also spent a season in the Cape Cod Summer Collegiate League where he earned All Star honors playing for the Wareham Gatemen and finished second in the home run derby. His success in the Cape led to his being signed by the San Francisco Giants organization. He played at every level of the Giants organization followed by an All Star season in the independent Frontier League. His experiences also include a season in Australia as both a professional player and amateur coach. Upon finishing his playing career, Jonathan returned to the University of Georgia and earned his degree in Finance.

Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge from the athlete perspective and a work ethic to help every player attain their dream of becoming a professional baseball player. Jonathan’s background as a player, his education and overall understanding of the business of baseball will provide Diamond Sports Management with a strong resource and relationship for each client to be supported by.
